Anti-Doping Officer

  • Co-ordinating the Irish PF’s Anti-Doping Programme, including management of the anti-doping budget and liaison with the Irish PF Treasurer in relation to budget requirements
  • Managing the Irish PF’s Whereabouts Programme for Designated Athletes
  • Liaising with the Irish PF’s Anti-Doping suppliers and partners (e.g. testers, labs, WADA, etc.)
  • Supervising, or deputising someone to supervise, all Irish PF in-competition testing
  • Reporting all anti-doping results to the Irish PF Executive Committee and the International Powerlifting Federation and European Powerlifting Federation as required
  • Other duties as necessary in order to achieve the aims of the Irish PF

Competition Officer

This role requires close communication and partnership working with individual Meet Directors, who are responsible for the operational delivery of competitions.

  • Managing the scheduling and delivery of all provincial and national level competitions throughout Ireland
  • Providing a Competition Calendar to the Irish PF Membership and liaising with the NIPF to minimise competition clashes where possible and arrange scheduling of joint competitions where required 
  • Maintaining the Competition Calendar and organising for communication of any changes to the Competition Calendar to the membership base
  • Liaising with the Irish PF Treasurer and Executive Committee in regard to competition budgets and entry fees
  • Creating invite list or criteria if required and monitoring eligibility if required, in liaison with the Irish PF Executive Committee and ensuring that all competitors are members of the Irish PF in good standing
  • Launching events and ticket sales on Tito and Facebook
  • Liaising with venue meet directors to organise competitions, including providing written confirmation of meet arrangements, requirements, budget and fees to venue meet director
  • Monitoring progress of competition preparation and providing updates on this as required to the Irish PF Executive Committee
  • Ensuring competitions are delivered within competition budgets 
  • Arranging for any equipment requirements not met by the venue Meet Director to be fulfilled
  • Arranging for Irish PF medals to be provided
  • Arranging Irish PF-provided personnel for all competitions (officials excluding referees, spotters and platform managers and administration personnel)
  • Liaising with Anti-Doping Director re. anti-doping requirements 
  • Liaising with Technical Director re. referee availability 
  • Liaising with Social Media and Marketing Officer re. competition promotion
  • Agreeing lifting schedule with venue Meet Director and Technical Director and communicating this to lifters
  • Communicating meet arrangements to lifters and Social Media and Marketing Officer for promotion
  • Ensuring print-outs of weigh in sheets/ kit check/ anti-doping forms are provided to officials and access is provided to competition software
  • Providing post- competition write up to Social Media and Marketing Officer and Website Officer 
  • Carrying out post-competition evaluation and reporting to Irish PF Executive Committee on this after competition and to the Irish PF membership at AGM
  • Arranging for competition certificates to be uploaded to the Irish PF website in a timely manner
  • Arranging for results to be transferred to the Open Lifter database 
  • Other duties as necessary in order to achieve the aims of the Irish PF

Records and Membership Officer

  • Maintaining and keep up to date the Irish PF Membership List, including members from the NIPF
  • Ensuring all members have the required information on file (name, email, date of birth, sex)
  • Providing references to Irish PF members wishing to compete domestically with other International Powerlifting Federation affiliates
  • Certifying all Irish National Records achieved in sanctioned competitions
  • Ensuring records are kept up to date and are available at each competition
  • Other duties as necessary in order to achieve the aims of the Irish PF

Social Media and Marketing Officer

  • Managing the Irish PF’s Social Media presence including but not limited to Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook
  • Documenting or deputising someone to document, all Irish PF domestic competitions and Irish PF lifters competing internationally
  • Promoting the Irish PF’s competitions across all Social Media channels
  • Growing the Irish PF’s Social Media following
  • Identifying and pursuing potential sponsorship opportunities for Irish PF and communicating with the Irish PF Executive Committee about potential sponsorship opportunities
  • Managing delivery of any requirements arising as a result of marketing and sponsorship
  • Other duties as necessary in order to achieve the aims of the Irish PF

Website Officer

  • Managing and maintaining the Irish PF’s website
  • Ensuring the Irish PF’s website has timely information relating to membership, calendar, competitions, and records
  • Updating other content to the Irish PF’s website in line with the Irish PF’s ethos and membership’s interests
  • Other duties as necessary in order to achieve the aims of the Irish PF

National Team Manager (Masters and Junior/Open)

  • Create information pack in a timely manner for lifters with provisional information e.g. entry fees, location, likely costs, potential visa requirements
  • Set up Facebook and WhatsApp group for lifters, referees and coaches and manage distribution of relevant information
  • Liaise with Treasurer to confirm federation contribution to coach and lifter costs
  • Arrange kit provision for lifters and communicate kit requirements
  • Confirm hotel and transfer arrangements with competition administrator for lifters, referees and coaches
  • Communicate final entry/ anti-doping fees, hotel and transfer costs to Treasurer, lifters and coaches
  • Communicate transfer and venue arrangements to referees, lifters and coaches
  • Communicate lifting timetables and changes to referees, lifters and coaches
  • Organise federation car rental if required for coaches
  • Submit invoices to Treasurer in a timely manner for payment to the competition administrators
  • Communicate with lifters and coaches about payment arrangements
