When can I register a club?
You can register a club at any point during the year. However, you only start accumulating points from the date you register. So, if you register in June, only your athletes from the remaining competitions after that date will count towards your club points.

Can my athletes declare their club at any point?
Athletes must declare their club when registering their ticket. If no club is put down, it will be left blank. Athletes may change their club up until the weight class deadline. Once weight class deadline has passed, only registered clubs will be listed on Flights & Lifting cast.

Do I have to register the club before every competition?
No, you register your club once and will remain registered for the 2026 competition year.

If I do not register my club, can athletes still compete under my club?
If your club is not registered, the athlete’s club will be blank on flights and Lifting cast.

I want to add my team logo for my club.
Please email your logo to compsecretary@irishpowerliftingfederation.com

What competitions count towards best club?
All IrishPF open and national competitions in 2026.

How do lifter points work?
Lifters declare their club affiliation when purchasing competition tickets.
Points are awarded to lifters based on their final placing within their weight class at each eligible competition per the IPF point system (12, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1)

National points
Top three clubs overall at each national-level event will receive an additional placement bonus:
1st place club overall: +15 league points
2nd place club overall: +10 league points
3rd place club overall: +5 league points

Club points
All lifters registered under a club contribute their earned points toward the club’s cumulative league total.
Club with the most points in 2026 wins.

What happens if there is a tie-break
If clubs finish with equal points, they are ranked by (1) most first-place finishes, then (2) most second-place finishes, then (3) most third-place finishes. If still tied, compare the average GLP/IPF points of each club’s top five lifters. If a tie remains, the clubs share the placing.
