Important Update: August Open Venue Change
Dear Athlete,
We’re reaching out regarding this weekend’s August Open. Unfortunately, our original host venue has withdrawn as of yesterday, leaving us with two options: cancel the competition or secure an alternative venue.
After an intense 24 hours, we’re relieved to confirm that the competition will go ahead – now taking place at:
The Four Seasons Hotel, Monaghan H18 Y220
We fully understand that this is a significant change, especially for those who have already booked accommodation in Dundalk. Please know that we explored every possible option to keep the competition in Dundalk, but with such short notice, it simply wasn’t feasible. The Four Seasons Hotel in Monaghan was the most viable alternative that remains accessible to lifters from both the Republic and Northern Ireland.
What does this mean for you?
If you’re still able to compete: Great! We look forward to seeing you in Monaghan.
If the location change means you can no longer compete: Please email us at both
competitions@irishpowerliftingfederation.com
treasurer@irishpowerliftingfederation.com
We’ll work with you to arrange either:
A full refund, or
An early bird entry to any upcoming Open competition of your choice.
We sincerely apologise for the disruption and inconvenience this has caused. We’re doing everything we can to support lifters impacted by this sudden change and are committed to ensuring no one loses out and that everyone who competes still enjoys a fantastic meet.
Thank you for your understanding, flexibility, and continued support of Irish Powerlifting.
Kind regards,
The IrishPF Executive Committee
